A new section of our website has made its debut and has been launched. This new section is our spares section, aptly named Lamps, Tubes & Spares. You can find these additional pages via our main product navigation tab; here you can find replacement lamps, LED drivers, high frequency control gear, lenses & glassware.

Our commitment to stocking spare components and making them readily available is part of our duty of care to our clients. As with any electrical component, it is accepted that they are not immortal, they have a limited rated product life and a failure rate which the manufacturer deems acceptable. Though we do endeavour to source high quality components from reputable brands in the UK and Europe to ensure our products longevity and reliability, replacements are sometimes required outside of our customers’ warranty. By offering spares we, as a UK manufacturer, hope to never see one of our clients having to replace an entire luminaire for the sake of a single failed component out of warranty or a damaged lens.

We acknowledge that our spares section is currently incomplete and we do have plans to make it more comprehensive in the near future with the introduction of additional categories, should you be seeking a replacement and cannot find the component you are looking for please do not hesitate to contact us on 01282 448666.

Recently we have been collaborating with a videographer developing exciting new content as part of our efforts to keep our website updated and user friendly, delivering a great customer experience online.

The videos we have developed focus on some of our most popular products. As a company which is heavily involved in technical lighting and intelligent lighting controls, our products can be quite complex in their nature. This is why we wanted to communicate the ins and outs of our products in a way that is easy to digest, ensuring all the information our customers might like is readily available should they want it. These videos will complement product images and should enable our customers to get a better feel for our products without physically holding them.

Once our new videos go live you will be able to find them by clicking the icon neighbouring the photometric data on product pages.

The videos are in the late stages of development and are currently being edited; we eagerly anticipate uploading them to product pages and our YouTube channel in the near future.

Following in the footsteps of the launch of the new website, Lamps & Lighting Ltd. is now introducing a brand new series of sector specific brochures.

Although operating across a multitude of sectors, Lamps & lighting Ltd. is prolific in six sectors in particular, and we are always looking for the best ways to assist our clients with their product searches. We have complied the new brochures to feature the most popular products per sector in their own separate, sector specific brochures.

What’s more, these brochures are just first editions; we will ensure they are refreshed and kept up-to-date with subsequent editions as and when new products, solutions and technologies become available to make sure our clients always have an outstanding range of sector specific products to choose from.

Lamps and Lighting Ltd. is delighted to launch it’s brand new website.

The old website was looking and feeling a little tired so we made the decision and decided it was high time for a revamp. We’ve spent a lot of time and invested a lot of effort and hard work on the new website along with the digital team at Workhouse Marketing.

Created with a user-centric focus the site is easy to navigate, visually stunning and full of new features and products as well as technical information for those who like to get their head around the scientific side of things. We’ve got case study and press release pages on there to keep you up to date with what’s going on at Lamps and Lighting Ltd., and all of the new features will be continuously updated with fresh, interesting and engaging content and imagery. Amongst other tweaks and updates, phase two will see the introduction of product demonstration videos, which we’re already really excited about.

Our intention was to raise the bar for websites in our industry and deliver a site that would be a point of reference for us, and more importantly our clients, complementing the high standard of service on which we pride ourselves.

Lamps & lighting are pleased to introduce the Promethean LED range. The product line encompasses a range of IP65 luminaires. Featuring long lamp lives, reliability and efficiency, packaged in a stylish ergonomic design, this LED solution is ideal for a multitude of different applications e.g. High-Bay, Floodlighting, Street Lighting and Tunnel Lighting.

These versatile luminaires operate directly from mains supply by incorporating integrated driver technology, without a need for power-capacitors. This approach ensures easy installation whilst also eliminating the possibility of a driver failure before the LED light engine, resulting in enhanced reliability. This reliability is complemented by an optimised thermal management system, utilising heat sinks that have been tested to tolerate maximum debris, exhibiting no detrimental effect to heat dissipation.

Every luminaire in this range is available in various wattages and outputs with options of specifically designed optics for differing beam angles.

As Lamps & Lighting have been working with Alstom on the lighting of their train servicing pit lanes we have been privileged enough to see the impressive engineering that goes on at their facilities in Manchester. The ‘Be Inspired Business Awards’, or BIBA’s, are delivered to the county of Lancashire by the Lancashire Chamber of Commerce. Annually, the awards recognise the efforts of businesses in the area that deserve special recognition. Often dubbed ‘the one that everyone wants’ the competition draws in as many as a thousand applicants, with only 125 of those progressing to the judging phases where they are subject to forensic scrutiny.

Being such a prestigious award, even being shortlisted is a notable honour. Lamps & Lighting are proud to have been shortlisted along with the other companies. We eagerly anticipate the visitation from the BIBA adjudicators and hope to progress in the competition as far as the awards ceremony at Blackpool Tower later this year, perhaps even taking a title ourselves!
